What is the difference in Stair Nosings?

These are installed against the step edge and overlap the flooring, allowing for expansion and contraction of the materials. They are ideal for waterproof installations, ensuring durability in moisture-prone areas.

Laminate & Waterproof Vinyl Stair Nose

These stair nosings abut
directly against the flooring, creating a smooth and streamlined appearance. The flush design provides a seamless transition, ideal for a clean, modern look.

Laminate Glue-Down Stair Nose

These are considered overlap stair noses, where the lip of the stair nose overlaps the edge of the flooring while being securely glued down to the substep. This ensures a clean, rounded edge and a finished, professional appearance.

Laminate Stair Nose w/Track

These profiles finish the end of the step while overlapping the edge of the flooring, secured by a metal track that is screwed into the substep. The track ensures that the stair nose remains securely in place for long-lasting performance.
